This guideline addresses the Taming the Beast quest chain from the point just just before Thotar offers you a taming Rod for a Dire Mottled Boar in Razor Hill. Thotar gives you a series of 3 taming rods, every one is different and lets you tame beasts in the following order: Dire Mottled Boar, Surf Crawler and at last an Armored Scorpid.

When you have done the taming Portion of The search chain, you will need to head to Orgrimmar and speak to Ormak Grimshot during the Valley of Honor as a way to unlock your companion pet managing abilities: Tame Beast; Feed other Pet; Revive Pet; and Beast Training.

Last but not least, remember to visit the Pet Trainer and grab the Pet skills that you have got to give to your companion pet.
